The Power of Retail

The holiday season is here and everyone is looking for the best possible slimming solution which will make them stand out in their little black dresses! One of the popular options this year are diet pills, which most people seem to find very effective but not too restrictive. For a diet plan to be successful, it must take into account the extent to which a person will go, else the plan will be ignored. The majority of people who take pills are able to fit them into their lifestyle quite easily and therefore stick to the diet plan which ultimately results in its success. The key is to be realistic in setting your goals.

It’s almost time to head for our vacation and I’m really looking forward to it. Well, I look forward to every vacation…who doesn’t! I especially love the anticipation of a vacation, the planning, the shopping, the organizing etc. I usually try to read up about the destination, either while I’m on the trip or before so that I am aware of the local culture and history and don’t miss out on anything. This time I haven’t bought a book about our destination, but instead a book about traveling in general and how strangers always come to the fore when you are lost and need some help in an unknown place. The book is called The Kindness of Strangers and consists of short stories…all of which are true… by a host of people.

Winter time is always interesting, right…for the nice cozy clothes if nothing else. I just bought a lovely sweater in charcoal gray and I now want one of those cute little beanies. Wearing a warm hat or cap is such a great way to feel all wintry and of course beat the cold as well. While it’s not really freezing cold here, early in the mornings and late at night it can get pretty chilly. There’s also a huge windchill factor here, with the winds coming down from Siberia, so a cap is a great idea for the winter.

It’s in our hands to decide our future. Let us not elect people who enter politics for their own personal reasons, to divide us, to rule us, but let us elect those who want to serve, those who love this country and those who want to see it prosper.This is a photo I posted after the Mumbai terror attacks.

It’s time for holiday shopping and if you’re like most shoppers, you will be spending additional time searching for the right gift at the right price. Finding the right price is largely dependent on doing your research on the Internet and in the newspapers…so keep your eyes open. There are lots of special sites where one can find promotional bags, which are a good way to cut short on the time and effort spent on doing the search oneself. Considering the state of the economy, these are in big demand with a wide segment of consumers. It looks like that while people are cutting back on spending, they are not cutting it out entirely, but are instead looking for things at a better and more affordable price. Happy searching!
