photo: under the tree

Since I’m writing about the joys of summer, such as fun summer sandals in my last post, I thought I’d post a nice summery pic. When I think of summer, I think of sitting outdoors, especially eating outdoors. I love how little cafe’s everywhere open up and put out chairs and tables outside on the pavement and even the most boring of places can get a fun vibe.

on buying shoes online

As soon as it gets to be warm and summer nears, I like to buy a pair or two of fun summer sandals. Its a good time to experiment with bright colors and fun motifs, since one wears them with casual clothes and usually just for a season. I was quite surprised to see so many sites selling shoes online. I was quite wary of it myself, since I thought one would really need to try a pair on to see it were comfortable etc, but sites such as Dansko have perfected the system of buying shoes online. I really think I’ll be buying a pair online soon.

on searching on the Internet

Now, you all know, right the the Internet is like a one-stop shop for everything and anything. I’ve written about the immense search power of the Internet before as well, but it really never ceases to amaze me. This morning I went online to search for the history of an old building in Delhi and even though I didn’t think it would find anything, I was really surprises to see that I found exactly what I was looking for. So weather it’s shoes that you’re looking for or for colon cleanse reviews, it can all be found right here on the Internet. Happy searching ;-)

photo: looking out!

Isn’t it wonderful to be able to take a photograph and hold on to that memory long after one has forgotten what it was actually like! I think it is, and really like taking shots to make a photo journal of sorts, a story of my trip, keeping the good memories and views and deleting the bad ones. So simple right!

This is a shot that I took at the entrance of the Amateur Dramatic Society or The Green Room in Simla in India. The new entrance is from the Ridge itself, instead of the upper mall as it was earlier.

on finding what one is looking for

Ok, so we all know that the Internet is The place to search for anything and everything, right? Yes, yes we’re all smart! But did you know that the Internet is also the number one place that professionals such as doctors go to search when they need to find information on something technical, like the AED or medical emergency air lifts and so on. It just makes sense when the information is updated on a regular basis and what you find is mostly authentic, if you keep to the good sites of course, the potential is limitless. I’m often dazed by the way the Internet has spread across all spheres, all ages, all countries and all topics, and am very impressed. Anyway, I seem to be rambling now…so I’ll go search for something interesting instead.

on different kind of searches

All sorts of searches will bring you to this blog, but some of the most interesting ones involve weight loss and diet pill reviews, for which people seem to come to my blog in droves. I’m not really sure why, but I suppose I have written about these pills and the advertisements for them in magazines a few times. I am always amazed at the number of ads for them in the back of fashion and celebrity magazines, almost as if they all use such things to look good. Not many celebrities endorse pills of any kind, so the connection is purely made on the part of the readers who vicariously put things together, thinking that they will benefit from such things as well.

photo: layers

Odd as it is, I love waking up early when I am on vacation, as I don’t want to miss out on anything. The early morning light is always fantastic and it’s a great time to get some photographs as well, especially ones like these which are only possible early in the morning. I really relish my quiet and alone time in the mornings, whether I am at home or on vacation. This shot was taken on a morning walk in Mashobra in Himachal in India.

a reliable skincare routine

Every time I travel, I try to take along the basics with me so it becomes easier for my hair and skin to adjust to new climate and weather conditions. I find it especially important for quality skincare that I can carry with me, since it would be awful to have a breakout when on vacation or on a business trip, right! For a lot of people, any kind is fine, but with sensitive skin like mine, I find it really important to be able to have a tried and tested brand that my skin is used to. It makes all the difference, you’ll see!
