Working at home has never made more sense for me than it does now, with so much help in terms of technology to get in touch with clients, software to keep track of projects and Conference calling features that make it all so simple to connect with colleagues and clients at the touch of a button. Most of my work is to do with writing instead of talking, but having a conference calling facility really simplifies a lot of things in certain cases, and that ends up saving a whole bunch of time for me.

When it comes to selecting a new apartment or house, at the top of my priority are the bathroom and kitchen. I have to have some really nice looking fixtures, but also the most practical ones when it comes to cleaning them and using them. This is especially true for bathrooms, since cleaning bathrooms can be a pain if they’re badly designed and constructed, and if they are done right then it’s the simplest and quickest thing in the world. For one thing, I am really moving away from having a tub in the bathroom. I mean, I just cannot remember the last time we actually used it as a tub. Shower stalls are just more convenient to use and clean and most importantly, they fit our hectic and fast paced lifestyles better. I found that to be a popular sentiment when I researched it online as well, and more and more manufacturers are seeing the point. Take a look at a lot of modern hotels, they are doing away with tubs in most of their rooms as well. I like a clean and sleek look like those found at www.betterbathrooms.com, which are modern but not too avant garde that I’m going to get black and blue in bruises when I go to the loo at night half asleep. Sleek doesn’t have to mean sharp corners! Designing a bathroom is a serious job and I think it’s a good idea to get some professional to take a look at the proportions of your room to see what will fit the best.

Most businesses don’t bother getting personalized checks made, which I find rather surprising, since it is such an amazing way to advertise yourself and market your company. I think it should be added to Business 101, that as a new business, you must utilize every opportunity of promoting yourself, and personalized business checks are just the answer. There are a huge variety of personalized and created yourself. There are lots of designs to chose from or you can upload your own design.
As a marketer, I understand just how important even these little things are, and spend a lot of time with my clients to get them to spend time and money one things such as business checks. While most new businesses, just don’t have the extra money to invest in ‘marketing and branding’, it is possible to do these things for a lot less by doing some research on the internet. Since the cost of getting personalized checks isn’t too costly, it isn’t necessary to invest a large sum of money in creating an all-round brand and it can be done easily and quite economically.

Reading any magazine these days, one is overwhelmed by the number of advertisements for weight loss plans. Every celebrity seems to be promoting something or the other and everyone is looking for some fast weight loss pills that will do the trick and more. The thing is that even though they might work on your friend and her mother, they might not be as good for you. Everybody has a different metabolism and so how you lose or put on weight for that matter, differs and it’s not just as simple as popping a pill or two. I’m not saying they don’t work, just that they work differently on different people and that you have to do some research to find the right one for you.

With the holidays over, it’s time for a lot of people to hit the gyms, jogging trails and go shopping for some phenphedrine. While some are lucky with quick metabolism and don’t have to worry about taking off the extra holiday weight, others have to struggle and that’s where the extra help comes in handy. If you’re one of the latter, then think about getting an OK from the doctor before you start any new medicine or exercise routine. One always thinks things are ok, until something goes wrong, so it’s better to prevent it from happening in the first place, right!

Small and medium businesses often find it really hard to expand due to the lack of funding from financial institutions. It’s a vicious circle of every bank offering credit when one has no need for it, and every bank withholding it when one needs funding to create and fuel a business. This is especially true for small retailers and restaurant owners, who are especially susceptible to not qualifying for loans from large institutions. There are companies that offer short term loans and replaces the need for small and medium business owners to go to traditional banks for funding. Most of these companies do not interfere in the running of the company, once you take a loan from them, in stark contrast to a lot of commercial financing institutions.

Moving into a new home meant that we could finally get to pick one with some nice bathrooms. Our old house had huge baths, large enough to do cart-wheels in, not that I measured it that way, but just large enough for something so crazy. It had a lovely old world charm to it, so when we decided to look for a new place, I wanted something very different, hence a modern high rise apartment. We saw tons of apartments with a huge range of fittings, most with cool things like glass mosaic tiles that really light up a place so nicely, shelves for storing things, lights that somewhat flatter, and non-slip floors. Nice to see such a variety.

Talking about electronic deals, have you seen the blackberry bold and the deals that are available? I’ve been thinking of switching phones, but really was not thinking of a smart phone, since I use a phone as just a phone, nothing more. But now that I’m looking online for good deals, I’m getting quite tempted at getting one of the latest phones to change things up a bit. The Blackberry brand is a good one if you’re going to be using emails on it and even though I don’t really “need” it, it could be a fun phone to have.

With so many choices and decisions to make these days, it’s easy to get sidetracked and lose sight of one’s ultimate goal. The concept of life coaching is catching on due to reasons like this, as more and more people struggle to make the right decision, a life coach is the right person to help. I think it would be really hard to do life coaching, to have the responsibility of always making the right choice not only for yourself but also for others who look up to you.
Life coaching can have a great impact on impressionable minds and everyone from housewives to students to senior executives are turning to it, to learn how to take the right step. I read through some of the articles on life coaching and found that the majority of people coming for coaching are those who are looking to start their own business or deciding on a career choice, essentially career coaching. There are lots of organizations that set up workshops on the weekend so that a corporate coach can come in and give a talk and engage employees in a thought process that will make their goals clearer as well as make them reach their goals faster.

Are we all shopped out yet? Sometimes one gets the best deals right after all the big sales in the stores. Where? Online stores of course. For electronic items, there is no better place than online stores for the best deals. Whether you are shopping for video card or a new flat screen tv or a digital camera, go online and you are sure to find better deals, especially at this time of the year when all the regular stores are just done having their big holiday sales. It’s definitely worthwhile to browse around a bit online and find the best deals.
