Don’t you love to find new and innovative products on the market. I simply am amazed at some of these innovations and this is definitely one of them. Foldable shoes that are upcycled, biodegradable and modular. Got your attention, didn’t I? The Radler Trail Camp shoes by Timberland, that’s what they are, and they can be folded in half and zipped up so that they fit into your backpack. Don’t think of them as flimsy though, they are tough and perfect for hiking or street wear. And if that isn’t enough, these shoes have a water repellent fabric on top, and removable fleece-lined insoles for comfort inside. Loving the innovation and loving the creativity.

I love finding out about new and innovative products made just for our modern lifestyle. So when I came across this webcam light I was thrilled. I mean the light is never really great when we’re on the webcam, usually on Skype. In our case, the light is often too bright from behind, so it needs a balance. This light is sure to change the way we Skype and use video chats, since it will definitely make you look better. Now, isn’t that a great incentive. Unless, you’re skyping your boss to tell him that you’re sick. Then you really want to look miserable!
The thing with webcams is that even with the new ones, which advertise themselves to be very fancy and having more megapixels, but they really aren’t any better than the old ones, since it is the lighting that makes the difference and not the megapixels. Having a good light is essential for a clearer picture on webcams and that’s exactly what this Webcam Light does. Imagine for a second that you’re seeing someone for the first time on a webcam, maybe for a business meeting or maybe even an old-old school friend who you haven’t seen since graduating 20 years back, so you want to look your best, right. First impressions are important, aren’t they!
With the way this works, on Skype calls and other video chats and social networks, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were added as a new feature on the upgraded Macbook Pro. It’s very sleek to look at which totally fits with the way Apple products are designed. It kind of reminds me of the lights around the mirror when you put on make up. That’s when the best light is required, and likewise, this will give the best and most flattering light. I sure am hoping to see this patented video chat light on more products.

When was the last time you updated your business card? What, you didn’t realize you should update it? Yes, you most definitely should. Business cards can end up looking dated so fast, since they are used all the time and their look becomes too common. Of course, you must keep the main elements of your company, it’s logo and the font that you use for your company name, but every once in a while, you should consider giving it all an updated feel.
As the world economy is changing and a large part of the world is still reeling under a depression or even recession, so having a card that will connect with customers also facing financial difficulty is important. So, while it might have been alright to have gilt bordered card in boom times, it just might not resonate with customers as much now. People are wanting to make their money last, to make everything count, so a card that conveys these elements will definitely have the edge.
Take retail business cards for example, a sector that has been hurt quite badly by the recession, so these cards need to work not only for the business owners but also connect with customers. A lot of retailers who have been hit by the downturn are small companies, and instead of being pulled down by it, they could use it to the, their advantage, by using a card that is not too showy or flashy. It might only be a little touch, but even the littlest thing could change your business, and it all starts with business cards.
Business cards are fun to pick out. I always have so much fun searching for the one I want to use personally. For a business, it is much more than personal choice of course, but using a design aspect or font that appeals to you is also important, especially if you understand how your customers will relate to it. Making that connection with customers is the most important thing of course, so everything on the card should be attuned to that aspect.

I’m a big fan of garden rooms. I read about a UK based company called 3rd Space that makes modular garden rooms, which are flexible and adaptable to a variety of surroundings. Their modular designs are made to fit into the surroundings, even the teeny-tiny gardens, and come in C-shapes or L-shapes or those specified by order. Options include choices for standard room designs or selecting a more personal touch by adding windows or reducing them for privacy.
According to 3rd Space, the modular garden rooms have been designed so that customers can create their own customizations, such as adding extra bays and even making them easy to dismantle so that they can be moved without a problem. Usually they take 4-6 weeks for designing and delivery. Read more about it on Springwise.

Ok, just because I blog, I don’t necessarily claim to know everything about everything. I do however know some things about some topics. Retail is one of them, trends is another, but how a hydraulic cartridge works isn’t! I do love to find out how things work, but if I’m in over my head, I’ll be the first one to admit it and retreat. I mean, what’s the point of doing something just to score points, I’d much rather do things that I am passionate about, and that way, even half an effort made shows through the work so much more clearly. That’s really what you should do…stick to the things that you’re good at and be happy with that, instead of trying to offer something for everyone and failing everywhere.

There’s always something special about getting a postcard isn’t there! I even like sending them out! In fact, I like sending out postcards so much that I’m always on the lookout for new deals from companies that can make personalized postcards, for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. And when I find them, I love telling everyone about them
So here it is, Postcards.com is the place for the complete range of postcards, folded greeting cards, letterheads, business cards and much more. I love to create my own stamp on my designs so I was happy to know that it would be possible here. It just makes it so much more memorable doesn’t it!
The art of communicating has completely changed and now everyone wants to connect online where nothing is real….you know what I mean, it’s all virtual signatures and all that. But meeting someone and getting a physical business card is much more memorable, especially if you have a business card that stands out from the crowd. So it’s really important to have that something extra. I have a set of business cards that have different patterns on them, and I can decide which one I want to give at different times. It’s definitely more fun than the usual boring business cards!

Buying jewelry is both a lot of fun and a lot of work. To get a piece of jewelry that you want to have with you forever, requires a lot of research, especially if you want to save some money and buy it online. I searched online and found a wide range of diamond engagement rings in platinum and gold settings. I heard about this site from my friend Sarah, who recently purchased a pair of delicate diamond stud earrings from them from an incredible price. After getting her purchase, she got her earrings appraised by a jeweler who gave a positive report on both the quality of the diamond and the workmanship. She was of course thrilled at her decision and now plans to buy a matching pendant to go with it. The whole concept of getting an engagement ring is so wrapped up in romance that one never thinks of buying diamond engagement rings online, but the fact is that unless you’ve got lots of money to waste, this is the place to head to. Emotions and financials are not something that one should mix, so make the most of your money by researching before you buy.

We all have a fascination towards ships and boats don’t we! I love the idea of a sailing holiday, hopping from island to island, spending time on the deck lazing, being lulled to sleep by the gentle waves. Wouldn’t that be nice! In actuality, a sailing holiday is a lot of work, but a sort of pleasurable work, where one will get some satisfaction of doing something good, doing something worthwhile and contributing. Ah but if you’re on a cruise vacation, then all this really doesn’t count! And what’s with the whole debate about the difference between ships and boats. It’s an endless debate isn’t it. Is it big versus small or is it something more technical?
If you’re planning on going sailing then learning about things like passerelles or gangways, roller systems, cleats, davits, chocks is essential. You don’t want to be out there without full knowledge of how things work on a boat. I actually hadn’t heard of a passerelle before, so looked it up online and found that companies like UMT International builds custom crafted accessories for boats. It’s a highly technical field, where the level of craftsmanship is examined by people who live lives of luxury and know just about everything there is to know about boats and the high life.
Apparently, transom passerelles come in various styles such as multi-flap, rotating or several other configurations, and when designed well are sleek and even beautiful. If you’re looking for a high quality passerelle, then look for one built with high carbon fiber, as they are unmatched in strength and durability. It’s a good idea to read up some boat facts and tips if you’re looking to become a boat aficionado. And, there it is again, why not ship facts! Well, the debate has to carry on, doesn’t it! Happy sailing!

Living in a new development has it’s ups and downs. I’ve written before about how the lack of retail options in the local area means that one has to go out for pretty much everything. Lately, though, things have been changing and lots of new retail stores have been opening, mostly restaurants but some other stores such as a tailoring shop, a photo shop, a barber etc. The problem is not lack of retail space, but the high rates that the developer wants for these spaces. As well as the fact they do not want any local or small scale grocery store to spoil the “look” of the neighborhood. And, that’s the whole problem, until one has these little corner shops, the simple laundries, and all the odds and ends stuff, a community is never really complete. One has to have the basics in the area itself for the people to feel that they don’t need to drive elsewhere, and can instead walk to get whatever they need. Yes, walking is what it’s all about. When you get people walking to do their errands, you develop a community. And I hope it happens soon.

I’ve been browsing through home photographs for quite a while….to see what the best place to live would be, to dream a little dream. Some of the most awesome homes that I found were in northern Europe but by far the most intriguing one was that was closer to home, in West Palm Beach actually. While a lot of homes one sees are really in the dream or fantasy way that it’s really not going to be possible, but this one was one that I thought that wow, this would be a cool place to live.
Florida is one of my top picks of places to live, I mean, it’s not for nothing that it’s called the Sunshine State. With all year round sunshine, and an all year round atmosphere of fun in a vacation kind of way, it’s really one of the most amazing places to live. While some spots of the state can get really uncomfortable and muggy, West Palm Beach is much much better. The development that I found was the Two City Plaza, which has a host of services such as concierge services that make the living experience so much better. This Palm Beach Condo would be the best of both worlds, the comfort of home and the convenience of a hotel. Now, isn’t that something worth sitting up for!
I loved that there is a resort style pool on the top floor, an outdoor garden, a private theater with a library, a moonlight theater and of course all the usual stuff such as state of the art fitness center, massage rooms, steam, sauna, club room and much more. West Palm Beach is of course, one of the most popular destinations with a host of attractions. After looking up West Palm Beach information online, I found that it has some really enviable features. Located on the Intracoastal waterway, along the luxury corridor so to speak, West Palm Beach and the Two City Plaza offer an unbeatable combination in my opinion.
